Description
The golden/irridescent strands between the leaves are called Pele's Hair. They are strands of volcanic glass created during an erruption. This picture is taken near Kileauea; Pele's Hair oxidizes rapidly, and so these are likely from the most recent (as of February 2020) eruption.
